(HAMPTON, GA) The ASRS Camping World Truck Series rolled into Atlanta, Georgia for the second event of the 2010 season, the auctioned packed 1.54 mile quad oval track known as Hotlanta.

Green Flag in Atlanta

Greg Evans led the field to the green flag in the #14 Ford, John Caddell was alongside in his Dodge.  Neither driver had the luck they hoped for in the 100 mile event.  Rookie domination continued as Ron Hart took the lead and led a total of 24 laps, tying with defending champion Jim Foose for the most laps led in the 65 lap battle.  Hart would prove unstoppable, as he battled side by side with Timmy Johnston for much of the last 10 laps, Johnston passed Hart, but couldn’t hold on as Ron Hart took the lead again on the final lap on his way to his second Camping World Truck Series victory, Johnston was 2nd followed by Foose, Caddell and Brad Wrenn who rounded out the top 5.

The trucks slow start to 2010 has been action packed, but the drivers will have to wait another three weeks before heading to Martinsville Speedway.

Caddell wins at Las Vegas

The ASRS TheCrewShirt.com Cup Series headed to its third stop on the tour at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Las Vegas 120.  Jake Morris would take the pole for the 81 lap event.  The action was hot and heavy as the race was slowed nine time for caution flags.

The first lap saw the #15 car of Josh Woodham bring out the caution on the first lap for the second consecutive race in a row after contact with the #7 of Matt Vaade.  As racing action resumed, Skip Honaker would take the lead in his first start of the season.

Racing at Las Vegas

Honaker would only be there for a couple of laps as series newcomer Brandon Webb put his #77 Sundrop Dodge at the top of the order.  Honaker would then get into the wall causing a chain reaction behind him that would again slow the field.

Jake Morris would resume the lead following pit stops.  Lap 17 saw Eric Bannenberg try to make a 3 wide pass, and his new teammate Webb would ultimately pay the price by spinning into the outside wall and collecting the #7 of Matt Vaade.

The Caution Flag got much use at Las Vegas

Following a self spin by the #05 of Robert Panko, Jeff Lyden would stay out to lead the field.  This was also short lived as Jake Morris appeared to be the class of the field and powered his way back to the front on lap 36.  Skip Honakers day would go from bad to worse as he would be involved in an incident with the #88 of Anthony Gonzalez ultimately ending Skip's race.

Johnathon Caddell slowly worked his way up from the 15th starting spot and would take the lead on lap 43.  Another self spin by Panko would set up strategy for the remainder of the race.  The Morris brothers opted for 2 tires while Caddell would take on 4.  Matt Vaade opted for no tires and would lead the field back to the green.

Three more cautions would fly throughout the event, with the final one flying on lap 71.  All of the leaders opted not to pit and a 6 lap dash to the checkered flag was in the works.  Caddell would hold off the hard charging Jake Morris all the way to the checkered flag, claiming his second win in a row in the ASRS TheCrewShirt.com Cup Series.  Jake Morris was 2nd followed by Jordan Morris in third, while Aaron Maynard and Anthony Gonzalez rounded the top five.

The ASRS TheCrewShirt.com Cup Series heads to Atlanta next week for the running of the Kobalt Tools 150.
